Financial Times is missing the point on the EU.
The FT’s leader on their website today talks about the problems of British voters feeling disengaged and disenchanted with the EU’s European Parliament.
What they totally ignore is the fact that to be engaged with the European Parliament, you must support Britain’s participation in its workings. Those who are actively going to do so will be thin on the ground when 55% of the electorate don’t even want the UK to be a member of the EU.
That’s not apathy. It’s antipathy.
