Let us hope UKIP spank Labour.
Recent polls have shown UKIP and Labour to be swapping places for second and third position. Let us hope that on Sunday when the results are revealed, it is Labour that are trounced not simply into third behind the eurosceptic party, but between soundly by the LibDems as well. A fourth place position in these European Elections is what Gordon Brown’s tenure deserves. It would at the very least create a Charles Clark leadership challenge as well.
What is more, a strong UKIP result would strongly boost the EU issue up the agenda and revitalise the party. This is vitally important if the pro-withdrawal candle is to continue burning, as it must.
